music matters, always

A Malaysian indie music junkie makes some noise about indie music and Death Cab's deal with Atlantic.

And the wait begins for the CDs to be sent over from the hallowed caverns of DeepDiscountCd. Can't wait. Of course ended up with more than I originally intended to get... can smell my pocket starting to burn...

was listening to Pedro The Lion - Bands With Managers

hey there, been stopping by your blog pretty often :) Any idea how long delivery's like for deepdiscount? With shipping combined/pooled orders the cds on the indie rock/alt rock sections seem a ton cheaper than the import sticker prices splashed on my cds..

hey, thanks for stopping by again! we made an order last year as well and think it took about 10 - 15 days. The thing abt this site is that instead of paying shipping per cd like amazon, its according to the total amount, so if you spend anything above US$100, it's US$14.95, divide that by three people US$5 - quite decent. :) Unfortunately they didn't have Dios Malos!

ah thank you, very decent indeed. I like them too, but am pooling within the office and it'll be too early to catch their release! Can't believe i spent (insert exorbitant dollars) on some of these cds going for 8 bucks.

i'm reading heaps of similar links, so from one music junkie to another -http://www.youaintnopicasso.com/
is pretty good, but you may already have that :)

yes but the horrible part is the waiting! first, the waiting for the package to reach our shores, then waiting to meet my friend to whom it was sent. what are you thinking of getting?
thanks for the link! too bad it doesn't have an RSS feed though...

hi, i'm an online friend of dimsumdolly's =) i order my indie cd's from djangos.com - shipping is free for above USD25 orders of new CD's. I buy their 2nd hand stuff as well, but those you need to pay for shipping (still decent prices).
